riva starr is new on the house scene after a successful career as top breaks artist, >madox.< his first house release came out earlier this year on jesse roses frontroom recordings and he has also teamed up on remixes for john acquaviva. this new release takes dirtybird back to the big basslines on which it was built. the bubble ep is a collection of floppy gurgling bass, heavy stacked drums and slow cooked barbeque funk.

breakdance has all the early electro hip hop influences but santos brings a classic sound bang up to date. oldskool drum sounds groove alongside acid bleeps, crunchy synths and squelchy bass. any b boy or b girl will be body popping along to this for sure. its been included on a new elite force compilation for lot 49 due out in november so its looking to be a biggie already. the echobox is a proper twisted club banger that is purely designed for peak time devastation. the tribal groove is crushed to bits as are most of the elements, which is a recipe for intense gritty head twisting.

baum records is a new label, which mainly will concentrate on deep dub techno and minimal techno. the first release is three track ep which are called buchenholz ep by resoe, who is the owner/founder of the label. moorpark is a deep track with fat chords and heavy bass for the dancefloor, which drags inspiration from the berlin heritage of basic channel. tsb is a more minimal track with smooth melodies that floats around in the wet space of reverbs and delays, but the deep chords still finds there way into the track. apart from space is a track of pure laidback mood with heavy dub influence, that just moves around in the spacious environment of plate reverbs and long tape delays.
